Welcome to Project 52.4!

Thanks for stopping and reading my blog.

This blog was created to follow my progress on the 52.4 Project. This project is brainchild of my passions rolled into one. I have always been a fan of sports as I love competition. I have also been known to do some gambling and enjoy statistics. This project allows me to indulge all of these interests at once and maybe, just maybe, I can make a few bucks doing it. I will be posting my progress daily to document my results. Please follow me to keep me honest, focused, to track my progress.

Ok, so what is this project and what is the significance of 52.4?

As I mentioned, I liked to gamble - more specifically, I liked to bet on sports. While the gambling bug has left me some time ago, I have wasted plenty of money through the years gambling. Once the poker boom hit I more than made up for my losses by playing poker. However, poker is no longer legal in the US and I grew frustrated with poker to the point that I did not enjoy playing it. But the time that I spent gambling and playing poker (which I do not consider gambling) provided me with some unique perspectives on "betting."

There really is a lot of power in betting on sports and and playing poker. There are many similar components between day trading and playing poker. My goal was to leverage and harness this power to find a way to make money. As I mentioned, I like statistics and put on my stats hat to come up with a methodology to leverage the power of sportsbetting to return a profit. This is not a "SYSTEM" or a get rich quick program, but a methodical way to continuously harvest returns generated by betting on sports.

Obviously, to make money betting on sports you need to pick more winners than losers. More specifically, you need to pick winners at a rate of 52.4% to break even. I believe I have a way to pick winner at a rate of >54%, so theoretically I should be able to grind out a sustainable return. I am essentially the house! The goal is to place as many bets as possible as long as I can continue to pick at a >54% rate as the winning percentage and volume of plays will dictate total return.

This blog will document the picks, results, return, and provide periodic updates on how the project is progressing. If this project is successful, this blog will document the results. Thanks and wish me luck!
